THROUGH ADVERSITY

As a pillar of strength and perseverance, Joe is an inspirational pro skater, actor, public speaker, and advocate on Indigenous health.

Joe Dion Buffalo is a professional skateboarder originally from Samson Cree Nation - Maskwacis, Alberta.  Joe’s story is one of resilience, hope, healing and social change through Skateboarding. His rise in the skateboard world has seen him being rewarded with his own pro model that features Pitikwahanapiwiyin (Poundmaker) as well as a feature interview in October issue 2020 of Thrasher Magazine. Joe has taken his love and passion for skateboarding and has focused his efforts on his non-profit called Nations Skate Youth based out of Vancouver. This organization empowers Indigenous youth to embrace their right to self determination through the positive impact of skateboarding.
