SPEAKING FROM THE HEART

Joe managed to pull himself out of a path towards self-destruction. Had he not taken the necessary steps to healing, he may very well would have self-terminated. But he was determined for more and one of his many aspirations is to teach Indigenous youth to skate as an outlet and speak to many others who find value, commonality, and inspiration in his story. By sharing his story, he knows the impact he has had and continues to have on many Indigenous communities and youth who struggle with mental health and addictions.

Joe was born into activism. His Mom, Marilyn Buffalo - Chief Executive Officer at the Nechi Institute, has played a huge part of his life by instilling morals, values, and compassion. Her perseverance has made a huge impact on who he is today. She has a 50 year history of activism and Indigenous policy development.

Joe has found solace and strength in speaking from the heart to youth about his life. It has helped him on his healing journey just as much as it has been helping the community.

Joe strives to spread the message of hope and healing through his story in hopes to help those lift the veil of addiction and help those seek help for their mental health.

HIRE JOE TO SPEAK AT EVENTS, CONFERENCES, OR SCHOOLS.
